Featured Scottsdale Neighborhood: HORSEMAN'S PARK
Horseman’s Park is a private gated community ideally located between DC Ranch and McDowell Mountain Ranch in the desirable 85260 zip code. The main entrance to Horseman’s Park is off of 98th Street, across from Norte Dame Preparatory High School. Behind these impressive iron gates, homes are placed strategically around natural desert open space with majestic views of the McDowell Mountains. Continental, a division of DR Horton, built these homes in 2003. Driving through this community is a real treat especially in the evening hours, as the use of low watt lighting accents the stacked stone and intricate railings on many of these homes.
Horseman’s Park neighborhood consists of 101 homes that range in size from approximately 2300 to 3000 square feet. Approximately half of the homes are single level, an updated version of traditional Craftsman style homes with 3 and 4 bedrooms, some with den’s and two and three-car garages. The larger two level homes are 4-5 bedroom homes, many with bonus rooms and lofts and include 3 car side-entry garages. Horseman’s Park offers an exceptional value with its ideal location. As DC Ranch and Toll Brothers’ Windgate Ranch develop and grow, residents of Horseman’s Park will continue to be rewarded with some of the finest Scottsdale has to offer, right at the doorstep.
The Monogram Companies is developing semi custom homes within the Horseman’s Park subdivision – this enclave of homes will be known as Horseman’s Park Estates. This area will offer approximately 8 estate-sized homes near the corner of McDowell Mountain Ranch Road and 98th Street. Approved in late 2005, construction is currently underway with homes sales slated for 2008. Two base models will be offered, and homes will be approximately 3700-3800 square feet. These will be the only homes in Horseman’s Park to include basements. These executive basement homes start in the high $700's.
In 2005, Woodside Homes began developing Trails North at Horseman’s Park. Located just north of Horseman’s Park at Paradise Lane is this separate gated community with a total of 79 homes when fully complete. The average property in this subdivision is nearly 3100 square feet. The majority of homes in Trails North are two-story homes, although there are 18 single story homes and 61 two story homes in this subdivision. Homes range in size from 2350-3370 square feet.
Come discover Horseman’s Park – and you’ll soon see why residents of this great community boast about the neighborhood and are so reluctant to move!
